In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of National Education Republic of Indonesia Number 6 Year 2008 regarding Guidelines for Acceptance of New Candidate in Higher Education, the University of Airlangga ruled that a plan to recruit new students is conducted through two (two) system, namely: the National Selection Sign in Higher Education Affairs (SNMPTN) and search interests and abilities of Airlangga University (PMDK-UNAIR).

PMDK-UNAIR new admissions system is organized by the University of Airlangga independently. In this system, each participant can only choose courses that exist at the University of Airlangga.

To be accepted as new students from Airlangga University through PMDK-UNAIR, each participant must pass a written test and Potential Test of Academic Achievement University of Airlangga (TPPA-UNAIR).

PMDK-UNAIR consists of 4 (four), ie PMDK-Achievement, PMDK-General, PMDK-Transfer Type, and PMDK-Diploma Program.

1. PMDK-Achievement
   PMDK-Achievement is for high school graduates in 2010 who has a scientific achievement or non-scientific highest in school or outside of schools from all types of senior high school in Indonesia.
2. PMDK-General
   PMDK-General intended for high school graduates in general. Ie graduates in 2008, 2009 and 2010 who have the academic ability to attend and complete higher education well.
3. PMDK-Transfer Type
   Rather PMDK-type reserved for those who wish to pursue a Bachelor (S1) at the University of Airlangga, who already have equivalent academic achievement D3 or S1.
4. PMDK-Diploma Program
   This program is designed for high school graduates in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

PMDK is the new admissions system organized by a University or Institute independently. In this system, each participant can only choose programs of study in the university or institute. Consistent with the name PMDK a candidate search interests, talents, and abilities. Senior Higher Education in this type of selection including IPB (Institut Pertanian Bogor). IPB require participants PMDK (or USMI, Invitation Saleksi Sign IPB ed.), Including the following:

a. Enrollment at each

b. Sorting through the report card, without the written tests.
As with the UNAIR (Airlangga University) in Surabaya, require participants who pass the written test was held. To be accepted as new students from Airlangga University through PMDK-UNAIR, each participant must pass a written test and Potential Test of Academic Achievement University of Airlangga (TPPA-UNAIR).

Line Performance
Achievement Track is for graduate schools (SMA, SMK, MA and Testing Equality) in 2008 which have a scientific or non-achievement of the highest scientific school or outside of schools of all types of senior high school in Indonesia.
General Line
General lane reserved for high school graduates (high school, SMK, MA and Testing Eq) in general. Namely graduates in 2006, 2007 and 2008 who have academic ability to attend and complete higher education well.
Transfer Line Level
Transfer Line Level is for those who wish to pursue a Bachelor (S1) at the University of Airlangga, who have had academic achievement equivalent to D3 or S1.
